We developed The Prevention Group to bring together talented teams of individuals including program evaluators, psychologists, statisticians, physicians, programmers, and AI wizards – whomever can contribute to the solution – to address perplexing problems. We have fun tackling a wide variety of topics from improving the job prospects of young adults with autism spectrum disorder diagnoses to reducing student behavior problems in schools to increasing access to mental health services for high-risk students, to name a few.
We’re professionals with more than 80 years of combined experience – and, yes, some of us are old, but doing well. We have a wide variety of diverse experiences ranging from obtaining federal grant applications (e.g., US Department of Education, Small Business Innovation Research Program) to developing databases to evaluating state-wide projects, to developing apps for IOS systems. Results from some of our projects have been published in professional journals such as American Journal of Family Therapy, Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities, Behavior Modification, Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Journal of Exceptional Children Placed At Risk, Journal of Pediatric Psychology, Clinical Case Studies, Education and Treatment of Children, Journal of Vocational Rehabilitation, Research in Developmental Disabilities and Translational Behavioral Medicine: Practice, Policy, Research.
